It is said that the Fairy live in Fairyland, Fairy Home or the astral plane, a place that is both within and outside of the realm we as humans know. It is also the transitional plane of ghosts. Fairies have been believed in and existed in some form since the dawn of humankind. Often they are seen as elemental energies, seasonal help to the dieties, nature spirits or even demigods. Even today's science has acknowledge the existence of 'multiverses' and will come to have to accept this plane and their inhabitants.

* Things to avoid the badly intentioned fairies are: get a cat. Cats, being the traditional helpers of witches are very sensitive to fairy energy and will sense and chase away the pesky kind. Also some herbs protect against fairy magic such as white hawthorn gathered at Beltane (beginning of May), in Wales it's gorse bushes around the house and in Scotland, bunches of heather are hung for protection.
* Fairies are not just elementals. Those beings can only work with the element they are attached to whether it be earth, wind, fire or water. Fairies can work with them all.
